Girls:

Skylar Born, Senior – Miamisburg High School – Bowling

  • 4 year Letterman.
  • She had high Conference average for all of GWOC and for the National  league and West division. (213)
  • She had highest two game series for the GWOC National League and West Division. (511),
  • She had highest single game of the National West division (268)  
  • GWOC National League West division Player of the year
  • She was selected to first team GWOC National League
  • She broke school record (Miamisburg) for highest single season GWOC Conference average. (213)   
  • She placed second at the Springboro Roll off tournament out of 128 girls.
  • She Placed Third at sectionals

Leila Hill, Senior – Northmont High School – Track & Field

  • School record holder in the 300 hurdles
  • School record holder in the long jump
  • All state in Ohio Division 1 in 300 Hurdles as a junior
  • Captain of the team
  • Mentor to the under class athletes
  • Will walk onto the track and field team at Ohio State this fall

Boys:

Matthew Pearce, Senior – Centerville High School – Basketball

Matt is a leader on this year’s varsity basketball team who is currently on a 15-game winning streak and playing in the District Semifinals.  Matt is a consummate student-athlete who currently has a 4.5633 GPA and is ranked 29th in a graduating class of 647. He is a two-year starter on the varsity team and a leader on and off the court.  In addition to basketball, Matt has been involved in Pie Club, National Honor Society, French Honor Society and played club baseball. Matt is currently deciding between Purdue and Ohio State where he plans to major in Data Science.    

Tyrone Keeton, Junior – West Carrollton High School – Wrestling

Tyrone finished the season with a 39-16 record.  He was GWOC Special Mention and led the team in takedowns, winning percentage, and wins.  Tyrone’s season also included a 5th place finish at Fairfield; 4th place finishes at Clear Fork, Xenia, & the GWOC Tournament; a 3rd place finish at Parkway; a 2nd place finish at Miami Trace; and an individual championship at Logan Elm.  After being runner-up at Sectionals, Tyrone overcame a second-round loss at Districts and battled back to win 4 matches in a row to punch his ticket to State!

Andrew Knick, Junior – Northmont High School – Wrestling

  • 2019 Honors: 145 lb Wrestler
  • 2019 GWOC Wrestler of the Year
  • 2019 GWOC Champion
  • 2019 District Champion
  • 2019 Placed 6th in the OHSAA
  • GPA: 3.79

Drew Sacks, Senior – Butler High School – Bowling

Won State Championship in Bowling this year.

Nevan Snodgrass, Junior – Fairmont High School – Wrestling

Placed 3rd in Ohio Division I (170 lbs) at State Championships.

Jaeden Crowe, Senior – Fairmont High School – Wrestling

Placed 4th in Ohio Division I (220 lbs) at  State Championships
